We're sharing some fresh news about your NetSuite application. Oracle NetSuite Release 2026.1 is rolling out and will upgrade your environment during NetSuite's standard release window (your exact date depends on your account schedule). As your NetSuite partner, we want you to be aware of the most valuable changes—especially those that can improve efficiency for Finance and Operations teams.
Below is a short selection of practical, functional highlights (including AI features). As always, availability may depend on your edition, enabled features, and installed SuiteApps. The release notes are updated regularly, so we recommend validating in Release Preview before adopting changes.

Finance & Accounting
NetSuite brings several enhancements that help strengthen close and accounting governance. A few examples include improvements to journal handling for more reliable line-level updates (important for integrations and controlled edits), and more flexibility around posting period changes for journals pending approval.
If you use Advanced Revenue Management (ARM), the release adds enhancements around revenue automation with treatment rules, including additional criteria dimensions (for more granular control over how revenue is treated).

AI That's Immediately Usable
NetSuite continues embedding AI into everyday workflows. In 2026.1, two very pragmatic capabilities stand out:
- Close Manager dashboard portlet: a centralized view using transaction data and AI-driven exception detection to help teams monitor close progress, surface exceptions, and spot missing/expected activity earlier.
- Payment Date Prediction for invoices (Banking): AI-generated predictions for expected customer payment timing to support planning and cash visibility (predictions are estimates, and require activation).
NetSuite also continues expanding admin-level AI governanceso organizations can better manage AI capabilities and settings.

- Manufacturing Mobile Enhancements: Improve real-time management of manufacturing tasks with features like refined bin selection and operation logs, enhancing mobile data access and operational tracking

Tax & Compliance (SuiteTax)
If you are on SuiteTax, two noteworthy improvements are:
- Line-level location for SuiteTax: nexus determination can consider the line-level location (when populated), improving accuracy for scenarios like multi-location fulfillment.
- Tax on term discounts (sales transactions): supports automation of tax adjustments when term discounts are applied, reducing manual recalculation work.

Inventory & Operations (Supply chain visibility + execution improvements)
NetSuite introduces Consigned Inventory Management, allowing tracking of vendor consigned inventory with distinct statuses and flows from purchasing/receiving through fulfillment—helping align operational handling with "pay when consumed/sold" principles.
Separately, Inventory/WMS-related enhancements and planning workbooks aim to improve warehouse execution and supply planning visibility. If helpful, we can review with you whether these changes fit your current inventory model and enabled features.
Did you know that? (Release Process & How to Prepare)
NetSuite releases are phased, and the best way to assess impact is to test in Release Preview with your configuration and customizations. Oracle also notes that release notes can change weekly, so it's worth re-checking them during the cycle.
