Meet Jean-Sébastien, Technical Analyst

Background

Back in 2015, I began my studies in Namur, Belgium at the Hotel Management school with the aim of pursuing a career in the hospitality sector. In 2019, I completed my studies and secured a job as a cost controller. However, my plans were disrupted when the Covid-19 pandemic hit and the hospitality sector came to a complete standstill.

Realizing that the situation would not improve within a few weeks, I took it upon myself to take charge and bounce back. I made the decision to turn my passion for computer science and software development into my future profession.

Thus, I embarked on the LeWagon adventure (Batch #700) and successfully graduated in September 2021. Following that, I joined School19 in Brussels, a subsidiary of the renowned School42. I transitioned from one freelance mission to another until I came across Novutech.

Why Novutech?

Novutech was the hidden gem I had been searching for. In April 2022, I had my first contact with the people at Novutech. Given my somewhat unconventional background, finding a company that prioritizes the development of its young talents was exactly what I had been looking for. I aimed to enhance my skills, and Novutech's vision, which emphasized excellence and employee growth, aligned perfectly with my expectations.

After a series of interviews, I started my journey at Novutech on August 1st, 2022. I quickly realized I had made the right choice as I felt at ease with the team and had a positive initial experience with my new colleagues. I was introduced to my buddy and mentor, and a new challenge was presented to me, which I eagerly embraced.

One year later, I have no regrets. Choosing Novutech has been the correct decision!

Novutech’s Journey

Since joining Novutech as a junior Technical Analyst in August 2022, I have been responsible for managing day-to-day issues that our customers encounter on NetSuite. I ensure that I am available to solve problems and provide reassurance to users facing difficulties. Additionally, I work on larger projects such as data integration through iPaaS (integration platform as a service) and optimizing user experiences in NetSuite by creating scripts for automating tasks.

Every day brings new cases, new scripts, and new challenges. I assist customers with their problems, optimize their NetSuite solutions, and maintain regular communication with them to ensure their experience is flawless.

Today, I am fortunate to work on complex and diverse topics, always supported by my mentor Jeremy and the rest of my colleagues. I eagerly anticipate the upcoming challenges that await me at Novutech!
